Universalmente ritenuta una virtuosa di questo strumento, ha vinto tre Premi Grammy e numerosi altri premi. Parla inglese, tedesco, francese e giapponese. Dopo aver cominciato a suonare violino a 4 anni con il metodo Suzuki, a dieci decide di lasciare la scuola per potersi dedicare alla musica.
