“[Su V per Vendetta] Non si contano i paralleli che il film suggerisce all'ombra della mia maschera con baffetti sottili, che riporta anche a Guy Fawkes, membro di un gruppo di cospiratori nell'Inghilterra del 1605 e che anche John Lennon ha ricordato nella sua canzone Remember. Insomma, V avrà anche la maschera, ma parla a nome di diversi personaggi e, in fondo, rivela anche qualcosa del vero Hugo Weaving. Questo film per me non è stato soltanto un divertissement.”
