Jimmy Hoffa, vero nome James Riddle Hoffa , è stato un sindacalista statunitense.

Fu fondatore e capo della International Brotherhood of Teamsters e, dalla metà degli anni cinquanta alla metà degli anni sessanta, controverso protagonista delle lotte sindacali di quegli anni. La sua complicità con cosa nostra statunitense lo portò a una condanna per corruzione per la quale fu arrestato e finì in carcere.

Hoffa è anche noto a livello popolare per le misteriose circostanze della sua scomparsa. Wikipedia
