John Graham Mellor, meglio conosciuto come Joe Strummer , è stato un cantautore, chitarrista e attore britannico membro del gruppo punk rock The Clash.

Strummer fu il cantante e chitarrista ritmico dei "The Clash" dalla formazione del gruppo, nel 1976, fino allo scioglimento, nel 1985; le sue altre esperienze musicali includono gli 101'ers, di cui fu fondatore e membro, i Pogues e i Mescaleros, gruppo che formò nel 1995 e con cui lavorò fino alla morte. Joe Strummer fu anche, oltre all'attività musicale, attore e conduttore radiofonico.
