Theodore John "Ted" Kaczynski, Ph.D., noto con il soprannome Unabomber , è un criminale, terrorista, matematico ed ex professore universitario statunitense, condannato per aver inviato pacchi postali esplosivi a numerose persone, durante un periodo di quasi diciotto anni, provocando 3 morti e 23 feriti.

Giustificò i suoi atti come tentativi di combattere contro quelli che lui considerava i pericoli del progresso tecnologico. Prima di identificarlo, l'FBI utilizzava il nome in codice UNABOM . I mass media cominciarono a diffondere varianti del nome, tra cui Unabomber.

Presso l'Università del Michigan, la cosiddetta Labadie Collection raccoglie la corrispondenza intercorsa tra Kaczynski ed altre 400 persone dal momento del suo arresto, avvenuto nell'aprile del 1996, in poi. Sono disponibili anche alcune delle sue risposte, documenti legali, articoli e pubblicazioni, ma i nomi dei corrispondenti rimarranno segreti fino al 2049. Wikipedia
