Gary Arlen Kildall è stato un informatico statunitense, famoso per aver creato il sistema operativo CP/M e per aver fondato la Digital Research, Inc.
Kildall fu una delle prime persone a considerare i microprocessori dei computer a tutti gli effetti e non solamente dei controllori di apparati, fondando un'azienda su questo concetto. Presentò anche il programma televisivo The Computer Chronicles sulla rete pubblica PBS.
