Teal Swan: Frasi in inglese

“Never be ashamed of how you feel. If you feel shame because of how you feel, it means you have been judged by others and told that your feelings were wrong or bad. But the reality is you wouldn't be feeling them if there wasn't a very valid reason to be feeling them. Your feelings are valid. If you feel an emotion, there is a good reason that you are feeling that emotion. Don't let anyone tell you how you should or shouldn't feel.”

book The Anatomy of Loneliness

“We invalidate and desensitize our children when we try to make them feel better instead of helping them to feel like it is valid and ok to feel exactly how they feel. We do an immense disservice when we teach them by doing this to resist their own negative emotions. Anything we resist persists, and so we trap our children in their negative emotions when we try to help them avoid negative emotion by showing them how to run in the direction of positive emotion. We need to validate (mirror) their feelings and allow them to befriend the way they feel entirely before any action is taken to improve a situation or the way they feel.”

“You deserve a relationship where your feelings matter. And the fastest way to get to that kind of relationship is to decide that your emotions matter to YOU. If you stop abandoning yourself when you are experiencing negative emotions, you will come to trust that you will always be there for yourself. You will feel a deep sense of inner peace arise within you.”

book The Anatomy of Loneliness

“Because we have learned that our parents and other people cannot accept our emotions, thoughts and desires and we cannot tolerate them in that situation, we learn to disconnect from our personal truth as well. This includes disconnecting from our feelings so we don't feel them. This includes disconnecting from our thoughts so we aren't thinking them. It means disconnecting from our bodies so we don't feel our bodies and it involves disconnecting from our personal desires.”

“You cannot move beyond your current emotions unless you allow them to surface and be released. This means that you must learn to express your emotions.”

“The single most prevalent form of denial in the human race is emotional denial. We do not want to accept the reality of our own emotions and we do not want to accept the reality of other people's emotions. As a result, we are constantly at war with ourselves and with each other.”

“Your emotions are a translation, informing you at all moments of the day of where you stand energetically in relation to your higher self. When you are preventing the focused energy of your higher self, you quickly develop ailments of all kinds. When you create a lack of that energy flowing through you, you make yourself a match to illness, to accidents, and to absence instead of abundance and health.”

“Simply put, anger feels better than powerlessness. That is why it benefits people to get angry. And independence feels better than powerless victimhood. That is why it benefits people to get independent. But if our progression stops there, we will never achieve true happiness and our civilization will never achieve true alignment.”

“Having dysfunction within you does not make you bad. It makes you a byproduct of your environment. It makes you a person full of adaptations, some of which do more harm than good… just like the rest of us.”

“When we are victimized, we feel the urge to victimize those who have hurt us in return. This is natural. It is a compulsion to force them to connect with us through empathy.”

“Everything that is ever done is done for one reason and one reason only, because the doer thinks they will feel better in the doing of it.”

“School is a place that adds to emotional pain for most children alive today. It is even more so the case for the two most isolated kids in school: 1. The social outcasts who are isolated in every way. 2. The social actors who are surrounded by other kids, but no one sees them because they are in a relationship not with them, but with the role they play.”

“The sentiment 'everything that is happening is supposed to be happening' can be a cop out that prevents us from becoming conscious and deliberately creating. On the other hand, the obsessive control over our reality that comes with trying to use the law of attraction to our advantage to deliberately create can be nothing more than resistance. It too can prevent us from being conscious.”

“All too often our personality is nothing more than psychological clothing that we wear to hide our true self from the world.”

“So many adults are just very large children who were never seen and heard and felt and understood and allowed and enabled to be.”

“Pretending to feel differently than you actually feel is the same as lying to yourself. Lying to yourself does nothing to change your point of attraction; so it does nothing to improve your reality.”

“We're emerging from the new dark age. The dark age of emotions and feelings. We're awakening to the idea that it is possible to be a very good parent on a physical level while being a very bad parent on an emotional level.”

“Mankind undervalues VISUALIZATION, because we have been lead to believe that thoughts are the cast off abstractions of the brain. But visualization is source's attribute of creation which is acting through the mind of mankind. As extensions of source, whenever we visualize, we bring forth the essence of what we visualize into visible, tangible, physical experience. No form ever came into existence without someone consciously holding a picture of that form first in his or her thoughts.”

“Any belief or method that is being used to fuel denial is by definition an enemy to awakening, enlightenment, awareness and expansion.”

“Most of us struggle for years against beliefs that have been deeply rooted in our being. We do everything we can think of to try to resist and fight against the beliefs when all we really need to do is sit down and directly pull these roots up so we can see them clearly and then replace them. It may be a bit time consuming, but look at it this way… you have the choice to struggle against them every day of your busy life or to take an hour or two of your time and focus specifically on doing the work necessary to alter them for good so you no longer have to struggle against them.”

“If we spend our lives resisting what happened, which is what we are doing when we cannot accept the reality of what has happened, we are living our life pushing against what was instead of putting our energy towards what we want to create instead.”

“Admitting to where you are feels simultaneously like pain and like relief. The energy required to resist where you are is exhausting. Admitting to where you are feels like letting yourself float downstream after swimming upstream against river rapids for years.”

“When people are afraid, people become narcissistic. It is not that people are ‘bad’ for doing this. It is simply that the focus naturally shifts to self-preservation. It is a knee jerk reaction… One that is biologically wired into us.”
