Romário de Souza Faria, meglio noto solo come Romário , è un politico, dirigente sportivo ed ex calciatore brasiliano, di ruolo attaccante.
Considerato uno dei migliori attaccanti di tutti i tempi, è stato campione del mondo con la sua nazionale nel 1994 e ha vinto due volte la Copa América rispettivamente nel 1989 e nel 1997. A livello individuale si è aggiudicato il titolo di miglior giocatore del mondiale 1994, anno in cui è stato eletto anche FIFA World Player of the Year; nel 2000 ha vinto il premio per il calciatore sudamericano dell'anno. È nel ristretto novero dei giocatori capaci di laurearsi capocannonieri in tre diversi paesi. Con 765 gol ufficiali è il secondo miglior marcatore della storia, alle spalle di Josef Bican. Wikipedia
