Benjamin Carson, noto anche come Ben Carson , è un medico statunitense. È stato direttore di Neurochirurgia Pediatrica al Johns Hopkins Hospital, dal 1º luglio 1977 al 1º luglio 2013. Ha ricevuto nel 2008 dal Presidente George W. Bush la medaglia presidenziale della libertà, una delle maggiori onorificenze civili negli Stati Uniti.
Annunciò che avrebbe tentato di ottenere la nomination del Partito Repubblicano per le elezioni presidenziali del 2016, ma si ritirò dalla campagna elettorale durante le votazioni.
