Yoweri Kaguta Museveni è un politico ugandese, da oltre trent'anni presidente dell'Uganda, cioè fin dal 29 gennaio 1986.

Museveni prese parte attiva alle ribellioni che rovesciarono i dittatori ugandesi Idi Amin e Milton Obote .

Con la notevole eccezione delle regioni settentrionali del paese, il presidente Museveni ha apportato una relativa stabilità e crescita economica all'Uganda dopo decenni di ribellioni e guerre civili.
